The Dealer and Agent Section (DAS) is now offering a voluntary dealer training program to dealer owners and their representatives interested in expanding their knowledge of dealer business practices. The program covers all aspects of dealer business with a focus on DAS’s mission of “Keeping dealers in business, doing business right”. During training, attendees can expect to learn how to:
- reassign titles and complete odometer disclosures
- complete the Wisconsin Buyer’s Guide
- properly advertise vehicles
- complete the MV11 and purchase contracts
- electronically process titles and issue temporary plates
The 4-hour training program is voluntary and offered at no cost to you. You can attend in-person at the Hill Farms Building in Madison or watch via livestream on YouTube. We strongly encourage newly licensed dealers and dealer applicants to attend training, but all licensed dealers are welcome. This optional training is not a substitute for an initial inspection.
Upcoming training dates: Thursday, July 15th 2021 — Friday, October 15th 2021 — Tuesday, January 18th 2022
Pre-registration is required. For questions, or to register for training, email the dealer training team at
dealertraining@dot.wi.gov. Please include your dealer name and the names of those attending training.
The dealer training seminar is part of the department’s larger efforts to provide educational opportunities to dealers. For
